The NV Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/ amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer.
Offering aromas of honeysuckle, nectarine, bread and fresh hazelnut. Medium to full-bodied with bright acidity and complemented by a pillowy mousse, it concludes with a long, sapid finish.

Sour-cream and cooked-apple nose. Loose bead but it's by no means flabby. Like the 7 Crus, it has breadth but the fruit tastes riper and richer. Peaches and very intense citrus. Round finish.
A blend of three parcels of Touriga Nacional blended to create more than the sum of the parts. The wine's violet and perfumed aromas and rich dark tannins give density and a powerful concentration.
